Teresa Pereira

Department of Information Systems | School of Engineering | University of Minho

Hi there!

I am Teresa and welcome to my personal webpage.

Brief information about me:
Since 2012 I hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems Technologies, a master's degree in Information Systems, and a 5 years degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Minho, Portugal.

Currently I am teaching at the
Information Systems Department of University of Minho. I am also a research member at ALGORITMI Centre, University of Minho. My research interests are information management; information security management; security risk management; cybersecurity; digital competencies and micro-credentials; Mobility as a Service (MaaS); smart mobility; smart transportation. I was a member of the Steering Committee of Computing Curricula 2020; it was a privilege to work with such a great team.

Since 2016, I have been a member of the Technical Committee for Standardization CT 163 - Information Systems Security.

From 2004 to 2021, I worked at the Business Science School of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo; there I
was a professor, Erasmus coordinator, and also Vice-Dean.

I love music (movies soundtracks), reading, and some of my besties: “The upside of Irrationality” by Dan Ariely, the classics of Jane Austin, Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse, Astérix et Obélix… I also like hiking (appreciate the silence), doing a girl’s night out (with my lovely daughter - Isa), the smell of our outstanding Atlantic Ocean, and of course a tasty coffee.

Come on in, and find me @
